To clear bushes out of the way in The Genesis Order you need a machete. You can craft it with the recipe that you will find in the barn on Ray's farm. The recipe is located slightly higher at the back of the barn. You need the Jump Shoes to reach it.
To craft the machete you will need the Dull Blade, the Blade Sharpener, the Wood Handle and the Leather Straps. The Dull Blade can be found in the kitchen of Heather's house. In the lounge in her garden behind the house you will also find the Wood Handle.
The Blade Sharpener is a gift from Larry to Ella. He decides not to give it to her and throws it into a trash can near the Strip Center. You'll find the Leather Straps on the floor in Ella's streaming room.
Once you have collected all the items, you can craft the machete in The Genesis Order. The machete will be equipped automatically and you can, for example, destroy the bushes in the forest that block the way.
